Description
These Cheeseburger Pockets are a quick and easy handheld meal filled with seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and wrapped in golden crescent dough for the perfect family-friendly dinner or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
- 1 to 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can crescent roll dough (or pizza/biscuit dough)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in ketchup and mustard, then remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese.
- Roll out dough and cut into 8 pieces.
- Add 2 tablespoons of filling to each piece, fold, and seal edges with a fork.
- Place on baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use pizza dough or biscuit dough instead of crescent rolls.
- Add pickles or bacon bits for extra flavor.
- Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or burger sauce.
