  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp cold water (slurry)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked (5–7 minutes per side).
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. Whisk honey, soy sauce, water, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
  6. Pour sauce into skillet and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add slurry and whisk until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
