Description

One-Pan Cheeseburger Pie Dinner is a comforting baked skillet meal with seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and a soft biscuit-style crust baked into a rich, savory pie.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1½ cups biscuit or pie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, mustard, ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Set aside.
  6. Press biscuit or pie dough into the bottom and sides of an oven-safe skillet to form a crust.
  7. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the crust.
  8. Add beef mixture evenly on top of the cheese layer.
  9. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the beef layer.
  10. Pour egg and milk mixture evenly over the entire skillet.
  11. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden, set, and fully cooked.
  12. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can swap cheddar with mozzarella or a cheese blend.
  • Add pickles or ketchup after baking for a classic cheeseburger flavor.
  • Let it rest before cutting so it holds its shape better.
