Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, then add onion and cook until softened.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until combined and heated through.
- Spread beef mixture evenly into a greased casserole dish.
- Top with 1 cup cheddar cheese.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.
